exhibit renovation (former fox)

March 13, 2021
I returned today, March 24 (2021), a week and a half after this was taken. The rockwork has all been painted (still a quasi-natural tan color, though not as natural looking to me as it was before). I spoke with a keeper who said the tree was growing through the thin mesh on top. They have trimmed the top of the tree and are going to replace the former mesh with a stronger mesh placed slightly higher. They don't have an animal for the exhibit lined up yet. (The gray fox that used to be here has been moved to the exhibit on the opposite end that was empty for a couple years).

@Wyman Unfortunately one of the side effects of the Covid lockdowns has been a halt to international animal transfers. Since there are none readily available in the USA, that is very unlikely to happen.
