Expedition Madagascar - Ring-Tailed Lemur Exhibit

Im kind of curious to how a keeper could acess this enclosure. Are there underground passages that allow them to do this?

My guess would be a bridge about 10 cm. below the water's surface (which would obviously require rubber boots).

Cleveland Zoo puts some of its lemurs on similar islands in the summer and use a small row boat to access it.

Looks pretty small for a fairly terrestrial primate. Great if you're into huge fake trees but otherwise a fairly poor exhibit in my view.

the fake baobabs are huge, and give a false impression of the size of the island. There's an earlier photo here (from a couple of years ago I think) which has a couple of lemurs in it for scale, and the island is actually a decent size from memory. (But yes, most of the ground space is still occupied by giant fake trees).
