They sure love that mud wallow! Has anyone at the zoo mentioned anything about possible pregnancies of either Listemba or Lungile?

Nice shot. I haven't been paying attention to how many elephants live in the new exhibit. Is this the whole crew? How many elephants is the exhibit built for?

Pictured is Mabu, Lungile, and Sondzu. The other two animals are Listemba (Sondzu's mother) and Impunga. The exhibit has been announced since the beginning that it is a breeding facility. Which in my mind means there is a bull (check) and three or more females with their offspring. Also remember in five years Impunga will be leaving, and in five years we could see up to four new calves at Reid Park (most likely two...)

Five elephants currently, which is the whole crew for now. Not sure how many it can hold. A while back (before construction started) I remember hearing the number six, which may be true or it may be able to hold more than that.
