Just to confirm that this won't be for macaques but for research scientists from the university in Portsmouth, who'll be studying their social behavior; intense study of sulawelsi macaque interaction hasn't really been done before apparently, so it'll be interesting to see what they come up with.
Yes, it says in the Summer 2011 edition of Marwell News:
"In the coming months, guests will be able to visit the extended area and see scientists working closely with the crested macaques. Some of the studies will invite the animals to take part in puzzles set by the scientists, and will make for fascinating viewing. Though of course, the macaques may catch us all out at any time by simply choosing not to take part!"
