Fake Cape buffalo skull in the savanna aviary, 2019-12-30

This photo was taken from the furthest corner of the restaurant looking out into the bird area in the Savanna aviary. A crested guineafowl (Guttera pucherani) was foraging around the skull. I presume the skull is a pretty realistic fake that has been outside a few years.
This just doesn't seem right. A skull in the buffalo exhibit? I'd imagine they'd get spooked.

@MonkeyBat The skull is actually located in an area of the aviary that the buffaloes cannot access and is meant as a foraging, perching and breeding area for the birds. I don't think the buffaloes would even be able to see it behind the vegetation, so I don't think it is an issue.
