Father and son

Do they keep the male and female together whilst she's rearing cubs? I would have though the father would kill them?

The cub on this picture is the third litter of the pair Luzon and Buri, and all their cubs were succesfully reared while the father was 24 hours a day with the family. He is very protective when a new litter is born, he tries to attact keepers and visitors coming too near to his family. He also takes the fair share of baby-sitting.

I think the successful breeding pairs at Howletts are left together when the females give birth .
