Wings of the World was originally the Reptile House that opened in 1937 and was converted into the Bird House in 1951 and then was later expanded and renovated into what it is now in 1996.

This exhibit and its species list look very cool. Is there an equivalent Antarctic exhibit with penguins next to it?

There is a Sub-Antarctic Coast exhibit nearby with Black-faced Ibises, Chiloe Wigeons, Imperial Shags, Inca Terns, King Penguins, Southern Rockhopper Penguins, and Magellanic Penguins.

I really like the sound of the Sub-Antarctic. I think calgary should add Steamer Ducks to their new penguin exhibit
