The aviaries on the right represent the 6 main bird cages the zoo originally had around the the time of the opening. As most people know, Martha, and Inca both passed away in one of these houses. In 1951, the primates from the Monkey House (Now Reptile House) were moved into these cages. The birds then moved to the Reptile House (Now Wings of the World). To make way for Gorilla World in the 70's, all but one of these cages were demolished and it was "moved" over to preserve the remaining building. Sine then that replicated building has been dedicated as the Passenger Pigeon Memorial.
