Very true, my first zoo visits were around May 1963 (there is evidence on the Flamingo Land gallery!). These slides are from same roll of film as the Regent's Park ones, developed in October 1964, and are immediately after them, so maybe my red outfit had just been washed!

The small boy in your photos could equally have been me, but a decade or so earlier. If I was asked what I wanted to do for a 'treat' e.g. a birthday, the answer was always 'go to the Zoo' so I'm told.
