Felines - Interior Exhibits

One of the oldest and most disappointing sections of the zoo. Amur tigers, snow leopards, jaguars, servals, etc in crappy, outdated enclosures. There are some outdoor yards, but they are far too small for the inhabitants.

The day I visited, the leopards were favoring their indoor exhibit areas over the small outdoor cages.

After the accident the zoo relocated the female jag and made the exhibit accessible for a young male Fossa named Dorian.

I do like the new Fossa. I have always been waiting to see one and now I finally have my chance. I don't know the details but a keeper was injured and died by a male Jaguar. You can look at Denver Zoo site if you would like more of the story.
