Interesting photo. I am still inclined to scepticism about the validity of Scottish Wild Cat, but this individual does look different to what I am used to seeing labelled as Felis silvestris grampia. The coat is paler, and has far less stripes. Any comments?

I would say those differences are pretty consistent between the grampia and silvestris I've seen. Euro-cats always look a very different, 'creamier' brown and much less stripey - with the effect that they look a lot less like domestic tabbies.
