The fennec foxes are new to the zoo. This exhibit is actually really good for the foxes. It's not extremely large, but it has lots of tall grasses for the foxes to hide and they are also allowed to dig their own dens if they want.
Back when the burrowing owls lived here, they used to have their own dens, which made it hard to see the little owls.

Did the exhibit have the double fence? When the foxes first arrived it only had the one fence, but last week they added another fence on the inside of the exhibit.

If you mean as some sort of divider, no. There was no other fence inside the exhibit. However there is the bamboo screen covering the right side of the exhibit apparently to give them a little privacy on that side, since that seems to be their favorite area to congregate. You can see it in your photo.

No, last week they added an extra mesh to the front fence to prevent people from putting their fingers through the mesh. The mesh that was added had even smaller holes that what was already there, which made it hard to see into the exhibit.
Well, they don't really have crevices, but they do have access to the rocks to the right of the exhibit. Which is why they put the bamboo fence, so that people don't try to touch them.
