This is the first of the two african exhibits in Zoo de la Boissière du Doré. It opened in 2004 on 3 hectares (8 acres). Here live a small family of Rotschild's girafes, watussis, ostriches, blesbocks, grey crowned cranes, scimitar-horned oryxes and greater kudus.
I called it "First African Savannah" because since 2009, the zoo also has a largest african exhibit for antelopes and, in 2011, white rhinos (photos here :
