Fishing Cat (Prionailurus viverrinus) - December 2019

Taronga Zoo houses a 1.1 pair of Fishing Cats; female Meow (2012) imported from Newquay Zoo, UK and male Jalur (2015) imported from Rotterdam Zoo. The pair haven't successfully bred to date. Hamilton Zoo, NZ is the only other zoo that currently has this species in the region with 1.2 fishing cats.
