I understand why they place mirrors with Flamingoes, wondering if it has ever been shown to actually have a measurable impact on reproduction?
 
The flamingo,s have a fair size pool, in there enclosuer, these mirror,s are in the corner, from Zamber,s pictureyou do not get, a veiw of the actual size of the exhibit.
 
Indeed, this happens to be one of the few shots when you don't see the large pond that fills the centre of their enclosure. Talk about books and their covers... :rolleyes:

But given they like standing on the other side of them I reckon they might be teasing the keepers for a while yet! :p
 
Over the year,s including my time as a keeper at Marwell, various things have been tried to get them to bred, but we still trying,

Well it worked at the Welsh Mountain Zoo,but it took a few years until the first breeding!
