It was 10 years ago so i can't quite remember I think it was just off the path, there was a sort of drain/sink which I believe took rain water off the drive way and then into this section in the foreground. i have a couple more pics that I can upload to see if it makes it clearer.
I must confess I just tend to snap and shoot as and when, I never take much notice of position unless I'm trying to photograph the enclosure rather than the animal
