Flat-headed cat (Prionailurus planiceps)

I think this is the best taxidermy specimen of this species that I've seen, so many of them are in such awful condition but this is brilliant.

@Onychorhynchus coronatus I appreciate your interest. I believe the museum's founder Dr. Billy Hankins collected this specimen in Thailand.

Do you know when he collected this specimen ?

It looks in such great condition and I am guessing that it can't be more than a few decades old.

@Onychorhynchus coronatus I believe that this specimen was collected in the 1970s like most of the specimens in this museum. When collecting in Thailand, Dr. Hankins actually met Dr. Boonsong Lekagul. Dr. Lekagul and Dr. Hansen were definitely kindred spirits being both medical doctors and naturalists.
