Forgive me if it’s been awhile, but I’m back with a new area!
the first two enclosures house Swallow-Tailed Kites on the left, and Bald Eagles on the right.
to the north, there lies the main building, home to many small species of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates native to the wetlands of Florida.
to the left-hand side of the path is the American Jaguar enclosure (silhouette based on Beth Zaiken artwork)
to the right, you first begin with the American River Otter enclosure.
follow the path and you’ll be meet with the American Beaver enclosure (a last second addition, originally, they were to be housed with the otters, but I was informed that otters do occasionally eat baby beavers)
Then we run into the American Alligator pond, which also acts as a rookery for many species of birds!
Speaking of birds, at the top of the right-hand path is the wetlands aviary, home to a verity of Florida waterbirds of all shapes and sizes!
And last up I’d the large animal area, with a large water area home to fish, large reptiles, and even Manatees! The land area houses Giant Beavers, Tapir, Capybara, Mixotoxodon, and a breeding herd of American Mastodon!
Most animals here are rescues, but the Mastodons, Mixotoxodons, and a few smaller animal species are bred here, due to their endangered status (Mastodons are Locally Extinct in Florida)
Once again, this takes place in a universe where Pleistocene Megafauna never went extinct and other animals immigrated into Florida.
all silhouettes belong to their respective owners, with the giant beaver and mixotoxodon belonging to Ron-U on Deviantart.
