I loved watching the keeper feed him. He wasn't seperated from us and he would eat right out of the keepers hand. He is one of my earliest firm memories of the zoo.

Do you remember what species this is and what area of the zoo it was in? It looks like a species of Asian flying fox so I'm guessing it was in Indomalaya, but I could be completely off.
I don't remember the species, just flying fox. However he was in the Australiasia Pavilion in the free flight aviary. I knew his name as a kid but it escapes me now.
If it was in the Australasia pavilion, maybe it was a grey headed flying fox. I'm pretty sure that I saw somewhere that this species was held at the zoo, but I always thought they would be in the Edge of Night.
