so which species do they have here?

The sign says Chinese Giant Flying Squirrel Petaurista xanthotis.

The bit about Singapore is referring to the Red Giant Flying Squirrel Petaurista petaurista.

The photo on the sign (taken from the internet) shows a Red and White Giant Flying Squirrel Petaurista alborufus.

Zootierliste says they have Red and White Giant Flying Squirrels Petaurista alborufus, so I'm assuming that is the one.

Yep, zootierliste is correct, they have Red and White Giant Flying Squirrels.

funnily enough, the bulk of the text on this sign is taken directly from the IUCN page for P. alborufus - Petaurista alborufus (Red And White Giant Flying Squirrel) - and yet somehow they still got the common and scientific names wrong!?

It's almost as laughable as their blackbuck sign.

Would I be right in assuming the Red and White Giant Flying Squirrels came from RSCC ?

There's a lone male, and he was here while the RSCC was still open. I believe he came from a private collection in Suffolk: he may have previously been at the RSCC though.

Yeah, aforesaid private collection bought him from RSCC when they closed first time round.
