former chousingha enclosure

labelled on the map signboard as being for chousingha or four-horned antelope (Tetracerus quadricornis), but at the time of my visit filled with common muntjac (Muntiacus muntjak) with a sign on the fence for them.

For everything else at the zoo, see my review here: http://www.zoochat.com/254/visit-assam-state-zoo-guwahati-10-a-358287/

Reactions: Summer Tanager
During my visit yesterday, I initially though chousinga were gone from the zoo. Looking closely, I noticed they were held in the small pens/building in the middle of the enclosure, under sheet metal roof. Why are they not given the full space? I have no idea...They were skittish when I approached but they had so little space for running away from me that it is understandable.
