Former Elephant exhibit New Fence for Hippos

The cable and post fence is new, as this space will be used for the hippo outdoor exhibit while Hippo Haven is under construction.

What is the plan for the old elephant exhibit once it is completed?

@DelacoursLangur as far as I know at this point, it will be turned into a rhino exhibit.

@MKE Zoo guy This should be grazing space for hippos in all honesty once the new enclosure is complete, as that is an aspect of hippo life I'm surprised not that many zoos show to the public. Plus, they need as much space as they can get.

@Wyman that would be cool to see however I think are giving the hippos grazing space in their new exhibit, that isn’t this space. But I agree, showing off this other side of hippos would make it unique.
