I really wish they'd do something with this building. With the decline in species and quality at Detroit Zoo in the recent years (from what I've heard) it would be so cool to see this renovated into a new exhibit.
@MonkeyBat I've been thinking, based on it's enclosed design (it has like no windows) would a nocturnal house be suitable or is this too small? The decline in species is just as bad at it's said to be, I hadn't been since pre covid, and I can already tell you the situation has gotten way worse.
There were once plans to turn this building into a bat conservation center, although it has been several years since that was last mentioned. With the upcoming kid zone being the zoos priority it will likely be quite some time before something is done with this house.
