The Donkey's Nest, the rock garden, the grass garden and the 'dinosaur' garden (between DinD and the flamingos) are no more animal location themed or educational than the Roman garden was. The cynic in me suspects that they want the site for a larger face-painting area or something money-spinning like that
Actually, the Roman Garden was perhaps more educationally-themed than the ones Gentle Lemur mentions, as it centred around the medicinal use of plants and common species introduced by the Romans. I fear, however, that not very many visitors paid much attention.
