P P Pertinax 13 May 2014 Do you know where they came from originally? 'Formosan' is less common in zoos than the usual 'Japanese'.

P P Pertinax 14 May 2014 Perhaps they derived from Whipsnade also, though it seems strange for a small place in the North to go to such trouble. Are they genuine 'Formosan' I wonder or does it just happen to be what they are known as there.

Parrotsandrew 14 May 2014 Well, they have always looked genuine Formosan to me. Lowther, further north, used to have them!
