There is actually a sign near the Crocodile Cafe that says how the zoo is building the #1 reptile house in America. Someone from ZooBeat will have to visit next year to decide if that statement is true...
The south of the U.S is holding without a doubt the best collections of reptiles in the U.S. This zoo having a nice collection as it is...but it sounds amazing ! 200 species....and i guess alot of breeding will take place...
The Fort Worth Zoo should be opening MOLA within the next couple of months, and 900 reptiles of 200 species could possibly make it the best reptile house in North America.

1- This long delayed project must be close to its opening date by now, as it is nearly a year behind schedule. When does it officially become a reality?
2- Could it possibly be one of the biggest reptile houses on the planet? (In terms of diversity of its species) The Fort Worth Zoo has been advertising the fact that there might well be 900 reptiles of 200 species!
Is March 6 still the date, or is this going to be further back? As of now, I am tentatively penciling in a trip to the zoo then to visit FW on this date to see all them leapin' lizards.
