Four horned antelope 1981

Enclosure in deer park, Howletts, 27th August 1981. Scanned from a Kodachrome slide.
Tetracerus quadricornis, adult male.
Dedicated to the ZooChatter who complained that we had no photo of a four-horned antelope with four horns (I can't remember who it was). :)

@Cat-Man I think the number originally imported must have been quite small. ZTL says that Vincennes had them from 1977, and the only zoos keeping them since have been the Jardin des Plantes, Howletts and, briefly, Port Lympne, although it is possible that some were held privately too. They were bred several times, and an importation of fresh stock might have established them, but as you say they died out nearly 20 years ago.
