Would love to see Ruby Topaz Hummingbirds. Are they easy to spot in the exhibit or do you have only a small chance of finding them?

We saw the little bird within 10 seconds and as it is very active, it should be no problem

It depends. Sometimes it is very easy to spot it and follow it around a bit (it is an absolutely beautiful little creature). This is especially so if the building is rather empty. At other occasions I have not managed to see it. By the way: I have only once (and just for some 10 sec.) observed the male cock-of-the-rock. Fortunately, there are still some other attractions in this building. I often wonder why it is so empty at occasions...

@markmeier, at my visit in july the male cock of the rock showed itself regularly with flying away at some moments, but always coming back to it's place under the bridge.

Does anyone know what other species live here beside the already mentioned hummingbirds and cock-of-the rock?

Other species I saw are Brazilian Tanager (Ramphocelus bresilius) and Red-legged Honeycreeper (Cyanerpes cyaneus). I also took a picture of a species I have yet to identify.. Perhaps a little help..? ;) See my picture

I believe it's a juvenile Brazilian tanager, but I'm not sure.

Visited Tierpark in the meantime, sunbittern and blue-and-yellow tanager are present as well.

Hmm, I've looked up some pictures of juvenile Brazilian Tanagers, and am not sure about this.. (See this link below). I updated this picture separately however, and vogelcommando suggested that it might be a female Brazilian Tanager… Could that be the case? ;)
