FULVOUS TREE DUCK - Dendrocygna bicolor
Range - Tropical and subtropical regions of North and South America, Africa, India and Burma. Also a resident of Calif., N. Mex., Texas and southern Louisiana.
Whistling ducks pair for life and the male assists in rearing the young and in incubation duties. Most of their food is vegetable. They do most of their feeding and flying at night. Incubation of the eggs takes from 30 to 32 days.
