As you walk through Nairobi Village you pass the Animal Care Center on your left-hand side, then the Petting Kraal, and then the new bat building. The structure is already on the Safari Park's map, and I had to stretch over the canvas-covered, chain-link fence to take this photo.
Does anybody know when this exhibit is going to open?
Update: The closest information I can find is on the San Diego Zoo Safari Park Facebook page they have some photos of the construction from August and some text saying that the exhibit should open in Fall 2011.
It is listed in the October 2011 member magazine as being open. Houses rodriguez fruit bats. No photos of the exhibit in the magazine, just a photo of an individual bat.
