They really should not bother. This is by far the worst NEW zoo I have ever seen, with the smallest, most basic, and badly designed exhibits I have ever seen, most are totally unsuitable for the species held, with exception of the ungulate paddocks to a degree. A branch, a water bowl and shavings on the floor is just not acceptable in this age, a new zoo living in the past that`s all it is.

I actually met the owner of this zoo while on my 20 day/65 zoo trip through the United States and he claimed that the "Animal Nursery" building with the small, red metal cages, was only a temporary holding area for the animals. However, two different employees told me that the animals in that area had, for the most part, been there for longer than a year! There is a second Animal Nursery area being built and even the larger enclosures (for species like ring-tailed lemur, tawny eagle, bobcat and binturong) are still completely awful.

This could be turned into an okay spot for an exhibit for the american alligators they have. All they would have to do is build a fence and add some substrate.
