The zoo's website says that the new carousel will open next year, but it doesn't say when of next year. There will also be an event area and a new restaurant in this area.
I've always thought this the perfect location for a restaurant. What would be nice? If they'd put the waterways back in that use to flow under all the walkways. There use to be Swans swimming all through there. That would really make a lovely setting for a restaurant.
