Gandalf and Shingi the servals at Marwell Wildlife, 11 October 2009

Shingi was lined-up for breeding when she left IOW Zoo in May 2007 - has she bred at all?

She left with an older female, Lecutus - is she still alive?

I'm not sure if Shingi and Gandalf have bred at all since she arrived at Marwell, but Lecutus is definitely still at Marwell and shares an enclosure with Gandalfson (who is, quite literally, the son of the other serval Gandalf).

I have a hunch that one of the serval pairs will either be leaving or going off show when the new enclosure next to the ocelots is finished; the area doesn't seem big enough for all four.

Thanks for the information, I'm glad they're still doing ok. I notice there's a photo of Lecutus in the gallery as well, she must be at least 18 now.
