One of my favourite enclosures at Magdeburg, astonishingly good in my opinion. Do you know if the waterfowl species are new? I have no memory of them and it is a shame that they are, presumably, pinioned.
I have no clue, since this exhibit didn't exist during my previous visit. According to ZTL the goose came in 2016, I saw 2 specimen.
There are 2 groups of Black duck: here and in the African penguin enclosure.
I agree with your appreciation on this enclosure and I think they did an excellent job in reorienting the former pachyderm building (vulture aviary, Nile lechwe and this one).
I agree that this is an impressive looking exhibit and I like the diversity of species that are housed together here! Thank you for posting the species list!
