Where any species no-shows?
I remember back in 2011, only the marbled polecats (of which the last one died in 2014) and emin pouched rats were no-shows. The cape fox and striped weasel were not on display at that time.

I hope to get a tour behind the scenes in april.
I sent the zoo an email a while back, but still waiting on a reply.

A few of the small rodents were no-shows such as the Nile Rats, however I saw many of those (dozens in the case of the Nile Rats) in the off show area. This was after visits to the Africa House multiple times over my two-day visit.

I sent an email about an off show 'tour' only a few days before my visit, and I got an email quite promptly (the very next weekday if I remember correctly) so maybe they haven't received your email?
