Not an overly large exhibit, but what is nice is to be able to come outdoors to view the sea lions and thus avoid the crush of visitors that are pressed up against the glass indoors. The largest aquarium on the planet is extremely popular!
Any idea why the aquarium would get rid of what I assume would be a very popular species? Are they looking to replace them with perhaps a rarer species, or did something completely different take over this exhibit, I would hate to think that this is just sitting empty, when it does appear to be an overall decent exhibit, for a seal species.

Haha! They bulldozed this to make way for bottlenose dolphins which are defiantly a more popular species. The new exhibit is an entire new wing with 1.5 million gallons of water housing 11 dolphins.
