Following on from the recent photo of the tapirs being unusually showy, these two photos were taken at about 10:20am, and I saw them do this again a few days later around 12. I guess luck was on my side, but it was great to see these two taking a relaxing dip.

I would think the change from their former reclusive behaviour has something(at least) to do with the calf- being young it is more active than an adult and so stimulates more activity generally.

That's a good point, I suppose that's true. The male certainly prefers to remain inside the Casson doing very little.
