Giant sequoia cross-section in grove of small sequioas, 2019-06-22

The cross section disk of a giant sequoia (Sequioadendron giganteum) from California, estimated to have sprouted around 1302 and cut down in 1962, is placed in a grove of living giant sequioas that are still very small for this species, but still impressive. Found near the penguin and seal house.
