Good point, the picture is somewhat deceptive as it doesn't give an idea of the entire exhibit/ This enclosure is part of a seasonal dry river bed within the savanna habitat (where Red river hogs are also found)
The tall grass is starting to grow in nicely around the whole Savanna so in a few more months it will be very green (or with the Texas heat just a different shade of brown).
