Internal view of main building, photographed from just inside side entrance/exit.

From left:
- Window to mezzanine area of Internal Enclosure 01 (Northern white-cheeked gibbon)
- Keeper access door
- Central entrance/exit (hidden by keeper access)
- Windows to mezzanine and two-storey sections of Internal Enclosure 02 (Siamang)
- Exit to external balcony (with viewing for External Enclosure 03)
- Window to Internal Enclosure 03 (Pileated gibbon), with visitors.

To the far right is a triangular area sectioned off with a low barrier (and low doorway), with a collection of electrical sockets behind. There are two of these triangular areas, one in each rear corner. Purpose unknown, although the whole area here is slated for "Exhibition Area / Vivariums" in the planning documents.

is that natural light coming through skylights, or artificial light (or both)? And is it as bright in real life as in the photo?

From these photos I really like what they have built for their gibbons. It looks really good.

I believe the visitor space is entirely artificially-lit (with the exception of what natural light comes in through the glass doors, and via the skylights which are directly over the internal gibbon enclosures). I've probably boosted the brightness of the photo slightly in order to make things clearer here, but I would say it's not far off the mark.

I was impressed - and the gibbons seemed very relaxed in their internal enclosures too (they've not yet been introduced to their external areas, as far as I'm aware).
