Currently, this island only houses an old female yellow-cheeked gibbon (Nomascus gabriellae). There used to be also an old male white-cheeked gibbon (Nomascus leucogenys), but he seemed to have passed away. In the past, this island was split in the middle and house brown bear on one side and Siberian tigers on the other. A pair of black swans (Cygnus atratus) has a nest on the island, weirdly on top of the hill.

The island is pretty nice, but the indoor housing probably isn't very good or very big for gibbons.
