I been known that the night safari rotates african lion and gir lion in the same enclosure, so im not sure if this is the gir race, however the gir race is pure as they came from india, the enclosure at night safari is meant for the gir lions but somehow it is now shared with some bachelor male africans on rotation
So i cannot ascertain if the pic i took is african or gir
For 8 years prior to April 2009 there weren't any Asian Lions in Singapore. The 3 African males were displayed as substitutes until the arrival of the 1.2 Asians from India in April 2009.
