Giraffatitan brancai at Museum f?r Naturkunde, Berlin - April 9th 2014

This image shows Helly standing in front of the mount, giving some indication of the scale of the taxon.

Long classified as congeneric with Brachiosaurus, this taxon is one of the largest-known sauropods. This skeletal mount, as discussed in my review of the museum, is the largest such mount in the world and as such one of the biggest reasons why I have desired to visit Berlin since childhood.
