A copy of a Samburu village was created next to the Giraffe House in the Savanna section of the zoo. This exhibit shows a Samburu settlement with its houses (nkang or manyatta).
As many of You have said, the Giraffe House is a great building, have to agree with you all, no doubt. But let me say one aspect of my personal point of view, a kind of solid criticism. The house does not provide a ground level view of the Giraffes, visitors can see them only from upstairs. Of course, it is a fine addition to any Giraffe House, but not without the ground level view. Taken into account that the outdoor savanna paddock is mostly surrounded by a raised pathway, it makes this perception even more true.
