That old tiny brick barn is the previous giraffe house, new one will be several times bigger but still small.
In 80-s, Masai giraffes lived in the zoo, but died after central heating accident. Then Baringo giraffes were brought in.
Both subspecies successfully bred.
Now one lonely Baringo female is present, born here in 1994.
