I know that @snowleopard wasn't particularly impressed by this house. I’ve not been to Frankfurt for several years, so will have to take his reports of shabbiness and scruffiness, but I have to say that I love this building: its lightness and airiness, its clean modernism, even those iconic tiles on the floor.
@sooty mangabey This photo actually shows a great part of the Frankfurt Zoo Giraffe House. However, just 30 minutes down the road is a Giraffe House in Opel Zoo that puts Frankfurt's to shame. That one truly is light and airy, with a modern touch that Frankfurt will never achieve unless it renovates the building.
