This photo highlights one of the many reasons why the San Diego WAP is in the top ten zoos in North America. It's probably the best place to see African wildlife outside of actually visiting the dark continent.

Are those Zambian sable in the East Africa exhibit or are they the South African sable in the South Africa exhibit?

I'm not positive. I want to say that the East Africa field, but I'm not sure.

This is the East African exhibit with the two Asian exhibits in the back. In the back of the East African exhibit I see a Sitatunga.

I guess without Africa, there would be no zoos in the world can make such a nice natural scenery that is really suitable with animals living free.

Based on the time this photo was taken, and the look of the animals, I believe those are the Zambian Sable Antelope Hippotragus niger kirkii that San Diego once had.
