Antwerpen used to keep kordofan giraffes, but the breeding herd moved to Plankendael, now they have a female group of hybrid giraffes

The holding of hybrid giraffe is a temporal affair. I can imagine that at some future date when all the elder hybrid giraffe have passed on - that scenario over time becomes more and more the realistic one -!

Perhaps they might hold a breeding group once more or alternatively opt to have a bachelor male group - an option to assist the breeding program for the various species.

Only time will tell. We have now moved on to 2025: Anyone with an update which giraffe are now exhibited or still alive from the hybrid bunch? Perhaps even an historical overview when the House moved over to maintaining hybrid giraffe?!!!!
