Gladys Porter Zoo 2010 - Crocodile or Alligator exhibit?

I did not see a label anywhere but I did spot some food leftovers and other signs of this being more than just another pond (the zoo has a lot of water due to the Rio Grande River) such as the bowl on a chain seen in the slope. The most normal guess would be some species of Crocodile or Alligator but which?

if I remember right, this isn't part of any exhibit, or it is just the resaca (moat) for one of the hoofstock exhibits.

Well, while neither one of us is certain, I think I'll leave it as it is. Something tells me at least that it would be unsafe to swim in it :)
