That's new male goat Romeo. He came with Moonshine who is mostly a chocolate brown with moon spots, I guess hence the name. I think they said they were just mixed goats. I would guess mostly Nigerian. I might watch some goat channels on Youtube, why I don't know because I'm not overly fascinated with goats. I also love the sheep channel by Sandi Brock, I watch that one 100% for her.
Thanks for the input! If it's a mix and no one's really clear on what it's a mix of, I guess it'd be easiest to mark it as simply a mixed-breed goat on my photo guide until more info comes out.
More info is unlikely unless someone with more goat knowledge tells you otherwise. It was their keeper who said they were mixes. If they don't know what kind of mix it will be hard getting it from anyone else at the zoo. Interesting they went for mixes when we know the original ones are Nigerian and Nubian. But odds are they picked up rescues so history on them may be dodgy.
I have some experience with goats so my best guess would be that he has at least a mixture of dwarf and cashmere blood as both are popular in the goat hobby farm trade and the hair looks to straight to be from an angora of pygora goat.
